Aßmann began his training as a media manager at Super RTL in 2004 and completed it in 2007. He finally switched to the profession of moderator with his first engagement at GIGA between 2007 and 2008. He moderated the daily, two-hour lifestyle magazine SPAM DELUXE live there, as well as went on the air with his talk show Aßmann until the station was switched off on television in 2008, and then only ran on web TV. Aßmann continued his education at the Westfälische Hochschule Gelsenkirchen Bocholt Recklinghausen in Gelsenkirchen, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Public Relations. He later became a freelance presenter.
